Renewtec was established in 2010 and is actively researching and developing renewable energy technologies. Some of the current research areas of the company includes: Building and testing solar villas, with reliable and efficient designs, that comprise PV systems, solar thermal systems, adsorption chillers, insulation technologies, glazing technologies and other technologies. ‘SOLAR ADSORPTION APPARATUS’
A solar adsorption apparatus comprising a parallel array of adsorber tubes; and an array of pairs of reflectors, each pair of reflectors having an axis parallel to said parallel array of absorber tubes; arranged such that in a first position: a reflector surface of one pair of reflectors and a reflector surface of an adjacent pair of reflectors form a compound parabolic concentrator having one of said adsorber tubes positioned to receive radiation reflected by said compound parabolic concentrator; and each pair of reflectors forms a shaded area with an adsorber tube positioned within said shaded area; the apparatus further comprising control means to move the pairs of reflectors relative to the array of adsorber tubes to a second position wherein: adsorber tubes that were in a shaded area in said first position are positioned to receive radiation from a compound parabolic concentrator formed from a reflector surface of one pair of reflectors and a reflector surface of an adjacent pair of reflectors; and adsorber tubes that in said first position were positioned to receive radiation from a compound parabolic concentrator formed from a reflector surface of one pair of reflectors and a reflector surface of an adjacent pair of reflectors are positioned within a shaded area formed by a pair of reflectors.
